Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator with future consideration for Leadhand to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery, overseeing production processes, and ensuring high-quality output. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC equipment, and leadership skills to guide a team effectively. Duties
- Operate and set up press brake machines to produce metal components according to blueprints and specifications
- Set up and Operate Brake Presses (Cincinnati) with minimal supervision
- ·Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Ability to operate CNC computer and input all required measurement and coordinates.
- Fluent with Metric and Imperial measurements with ability to quickly convert from one to the other
- ·Forklift licence, forklift operation for material handling.
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and measurement verification
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements
- Work with various materials, Aluminum, Stainless, Bronze, Manganese and Hot Rolled steel up to 3/4” in thickness
- Fast paced environment with tight schedules and physical demands
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Supervise team members, providing guidance on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling when necessary
- Document production data accurately and report any discrepancies or issues to management
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform quality inspections using calipers and other measurement tools
- Strong understanding of basic math related to measurements and tolerances
- Experience with hand tools, assembly processes, and quality control procedures
- Familiarity with crane operation and forklift handling is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
