About Osmin Health Inc.
We are an innovative health technology startup dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare through next-generation at-home point-of-care wellness tracking. Our mission is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge scientific research and real-world health applications by developing advanced biochemical and innovative technological solutions. As we expand, we're looking for a highly motivated Scientist to join our dynamic team and drive the development of our prognostic technologies.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and driven Scientist specializing in Immunoassay development to play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing novel biochemical assays for our lab-developed test and point-of-care devices. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, where you'll collaborate with internal teams and potentially academic partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assay Validation & Optimization: Design and execute rigorous validation studies focusing on analytical sensitivity, specificity, reproducibility, and limit of detection/quantification.
- Matrix Interference Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex matrix effects within human biofluids, identifying root causes of background signals and optimizing blocking strategies to ensure high performance across variable operating ranges.
- Antiboy Integration: Characterize and evaluate monoclonal antibodies for platform integration, transitioning from polyclonal formats to improve assay performance and scalability.
- Multi-Analyte Development: Validate the accuracy and precision of integrated detection lines (such as creatinine normalization) to improve longitudinal biomarker measurement.
- Collaborative R&D: Work closely with Biomedical Data Engineers to calibrate computer vision models and supervise junior staff/interns to ensure high-quality data output.
- Documentation & Quality: Maintain meticulous laboratory records in accordance with GLP and develop SOPs for validation and testing protocols.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Strong background in immunoassay development and antibody characterization is mandatory.
- Strong experience troubleshooting with immunoassays (e.g., ELISA, EIA) is crucial.
- Demonstrated deep understanding in the development and optimization of Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs) is essential.
- Proven ability in assay optimization, with a deep understanding of factors affecting sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex experimental issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific data clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong passion for translating scientific discoveries into practical, real-world health applications.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
- The chance to work with a high-growth startup at the forefront of health technology innovation.
- Mentorship and training in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Strong potential for permanent employment with the company, subject to performance and business needs.
