HMCA is looking for a Halal auditor with experience in Halal certification. Individuals who are aware of Halal requirements in the food industry preferred.
Individuals who have knowledge or a degree in Veterinary Sciences, preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Ensures that HMCA enforces and maintains the highest degree of Halal compliance.
- Perform audits, including both physical site and remote desk audits. Individuals must be available during business hours to perform audits.
- Plan, organize, schedule and confirm Halal audits in advance including all travel arrangements, audit documentation needed, pre audit checklists and follow up afterwards with post audit summaries to customers by email.
- Physical site audits include review of customer’s QA and Halal related documents and file records, check Halal product labels for HMCA logo use, tour receiving storage areas, production lines, packaging lines and warehouse or other end product storage locations for proper segregation at all times.
- Assess and customer’s handling of Halal goods within their facilities.
- Coordinate with the QA team to ensure completion of new and repeat facility inspections per the master audit list.
- Evaluate customer production site compliance and inspect audit results to formulate detailed remedies, recommendations or corrective action using scientific and food industry-related terminology.
- Photograph samples of HMCA certified products on customer premises and take photos with staff or company signage to document attendance at customer sites.
- Complete and submit full Halal audit compliance checklist documentation, records, photos, reports and expense reports for reimbursement and customer billing.

Pay: $30.20-$37.06 per hour
