Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse client base and contribute to the success of our firm.
Duties:
- Full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients
- Accounts Payable management, including invoice processing, coding, vendor communication, payment preparation, and account reconciliation
- Accounts Receivable management, including invoicing, collections follow-up, and account maintenance
- Payroll processing, including T4 preparation and ROE filing
- Bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
- Government filings, including GST/HST, WSIB, T5, and T5018 reporting
- Month-end and year-end bookkeeping procedures
- Review financial records and identify discrepancies requiring correction
- Prepare working papers and supporting documentation for year-end tax preparation
- Maintain accurate and organized client records
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding bookkeeping and accounting matters
- Complete assigned work independently while meeting deadlines
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online & Desktop (Certified would be an asset)
- Strong knowledge of account analysis, budgeting, payroll, AR, AP, and bank reconciliation
- Proven Bookkeeping Skills (Accounting Diploma or Certification preferred)
- Effectively communicates with clients and co-workers (written and oral)
- Team Player, Open Minded, and always looking for efficiencies
