Position Description: Team Member
Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), the Team Member plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our customers. You will work as part of a dynamic team to prepare and serve delicious sandwiches while maintaining a clean and organized restaurant environment. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and dedication to customer satisfaction will contribute to the success of our team and the satisfaction of our guests.

Essential Functions:
- Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, greeting them warmly and assisting them with their orders, as per all customer service policies and procedures.
- Prepares menu items according to Jersey Mike's recipes and standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every order.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant, including food preparation areas, dining areas, and restrooms.
- Assist with stocking and replenishing supplies as needed, ensuring adequate levels to meet customer demand.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system, handling cash and card payments with care.
- Communicates effectively with team members and managers, providing updates on customer orders and any issues or concerns.
- Follows company policies and procedures regarding food safety, cleanliness, and customer service at all times.
- Participates in training sessions and ongoing development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of products and procedures.
- Upholds Jersey Mike's brand standards and values, embodying a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.
- Receives inventory, Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Previous experience in the food service industry preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Take customer orders, handle cash transactions, provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience, and assist with basic food preparation.
- Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
- Must meet the minimum provincial legal employment age (proof of age or work permit may be required if hired)
- Demonstrates the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor environment with occasional tasks outdoors Involves standing and walking for long periods without frequent rest periods (duration of shift)
- Requires frequent motions of bending, wiping, sweeping, mopping, wrapping, and squeezing.
- Routinely reach overhead, forward, and underneath shelves, counters, tables, and kitchen equipment Frequently squat or stoop to reach items on low shelves or off the floor.Occasionally climb on stools or ladders and reach for items located on shelves.We understand that it all starts with a winning team of individuals who are fun, personable, diligent, positive, energetic, eager to learn team players who take pride in what they do and who they are.
