Title: Community Experience & Engagement (Part Time)
Start date: Spring/Summer 2026
Compensation: $20-25/hour
Schedule: 20-25h hours per week.
Location: The majority of this role is onsite in East Vancouver

Vessel Designs is a women founded and led venture studio. We focus on founding and managing companies designed to create an ecosystem of support in the areas of work, wellbeing, childcare, and community.

OneSpace - coworking, childcare, and community space
Railtown Pursuits - coworking and managed office space
The Vessel - community and event venues
Position Description
This is a dynamic role encompassing a community and member engagement initiatives, internal and external communications, and oversight of day-to-day operations at Vessel Designs ventures.
There is room for the role to grow and evolve as Vessel Designs expands to meet the needs of Members and the community.
Requirements
Experience
- 2+ years working in a similar role or position
Character Profile:
- Approachable, creative, proactive, punctual, excels in time-sensitive situations
Digital Skills:
- Must be comfortable in basic digital platforms: Google Workspace, Canva
- Familiarity with newsletter platforms (MailChimp), Social Media Platforms
- Nice to have: Familiarity with website builders (Squarespace)
Location:
- Must be able to work onsite in East Vancouver
ResponsibilitiesCurrent and Prospective Member Management
- Prospective Members:
- Respond to inquiries from various platforms
- Tours: Facilitate tours depending on prospective Member’s interests (coworking, event rentals, childcare, and wellbeing professionals)
- Member Onboarding
- Assist with onboarding new Members, and ongoing Member follow-up to improve Member experience
- Member Communication:
- Assist with monitoring and responding to Member inquiries and tickets
- Communicating Vessel Designs programs, events, and initiatives to our current Members
- Assist with promoting Member events and initiatives
Community & Member Experience
- Improve Member experience with the use of onboarding, tours, follow ups, check ins, and feedback collection for the purpose of Member retention, satisfaction, and increased LTV (customer spend).
Community Engagement & Communications
- Implement strategies to engage community and Members with activities that promote Vessel Designs strategic priorities
- Create and manage campaigns to increase public awareness of Vessel Designs and our programs and initiatives. This may include writing emails, developing content in Canva, social posts, and community board bulletins both online and in-person.
- Communicate initiatives and programs through Vessel Designs channels, including content creation, scheduling, and marketing initiatives.
- Channels may include newsletter, social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), email, community boards etc.
Additional Responsibilities
- Front Desk / Onsite Contact requirements as laid out in the Front Desk Manual
- This position is an integral part of Vessel Design’s growing group of ventures, and projects beyond those listed may be required.
Salary Reviews
Salary reviews are conducted annually on the date of hire or promotion.
Performance Reviews
Written performance appraisal are conducted after the 90 days probationary period and then annually after that time.
