Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dozer Operator with GPS expertise to join our construction team. We are looking for someone that is willing to stay in camp. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, including dozers, graders, excavators, loaders, and backhoes. This role involves precise earthmoving and grading work on large-scale projects, utilizing GPS technology to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Candidates should possess solid mechanical knowledge and a proven track record in construction environments, particularly with Caterpillar equipment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects while working in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Duties
- Operate dozers equipped with GPS systems for grading, leveling, and earthmoving tasks
- Perform heavy equipment operations including excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow project specifications and blueprints to achieve precise grading and earthwork outcomes
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, backfilling, and material movement
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and safety standards
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs when necessary
- Support other construction activities such as horizontal drilling or paving as required
Requirements
- Proven experience operating dozers with GPS technology in a construction setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery
- Experience with loader operation, backhoe operation, grader operation, excavator use, and paving processes is highly desirable
- Ability to operate other heavy equipment such as horizontal drills and commercial driving vehicles
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to recognize potential hazards on site
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
- Prior experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects or road construction is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary

Pay: $45.00-$47.00 per hour
