We are looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. You’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the heavy-duty waste equipment, specifically focusing on electrical and hydraulic systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot complex electrical and hydraulic failures on waste equipment (compactors, balers, front-load trucks, and sorting systems).
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and tune-ups to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- System Overhauls: Replace hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders, and rewire electrical control panels as needed.
- Field Response: Travel to client sites or facility locations to provide rapid-response repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain clear logs of repairs, parts used, and safety inspections.
What We’re Looking For
- The "Dual-Threat" Skillset: You have a solid grasp of both DC/AC electrical systems (reading schematics, using multimeters) and fluid power (understanding hydraulic pressures, flow, and component logic).
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience working with waste equipment is benefical.
- Certifications: While not required, a hydraulic specialist certification or an electrical journeyman license will move you to the top of the pile.
- Problem Solver: You don’t just swap parts; you find the root cause of the failure.
- Safety Mindset: Treat all task with safety first.
- Must have a valid G-driver's license.
