Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety conscious Concrete Pump Operator. Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. You will be responsible for driving and operating a Mack Concrete Pump Truck with a 38m Putzmeister Boom Pump, to various job sites, ensuring the precise and safe delivery of concrete, while maintaining high-quality service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and pump are in top condition.
- Safely drive the pump truck to residential and commercial construction sites.
- Assess site conditions and safely set up outriggers and boom placement.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure the pump is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each work day.
- Complete daily logs and safety documentation in compliance with Alberta Construction Safety Association Regulations.
- Able to work flexible hours with varying start & finish times, including weekends.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
Qualifications
- Licensing - Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Experience – 1-2 years of experience operating concrete pumps.
- Trainee Conditions – 3 years minimum Class 3 experience operating heavy equipment.
- Physical Fitness - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various Alberta weather conditions and on their own.
- Drivers Abstract - A clean 3-year commercial driver’s abstract.
- Certifications - First Aid, WHMIS are considered strong assets.
- Be a team player, mentally alert and energetic.
- Have strong organizational skills.
- Willing to learn all concrete pumping functions.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Must have own reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Successful candidates may be subject to Drug and Alcohol testing.
Assistance for re-locating, will only be provided to experienced operators.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
