Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Grocery Store Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and drive store success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of store functions. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Manage daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and POS system oversight.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering activities, and bookkeeping to maintain financial accuracy.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase sales.
- Monitor sales performance and manage budgets to meet financial targets.
- Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing needs and negotiate favorable terms.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and foster positive shopping experiences.
- Conduct staff scheduling, oversee payroll processing, and manage administrative tasks related to store management.
- Lead promotional activities and participate in community engagement initiatives to enhance store visibility.
Experience
- Proven retail management experience with a strong background in supervising teams within a grocery or retail setting.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, merchandising, pricing, sales management, and marketing strategies.
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and supervising staff.
- Excellent communication skills in both bilingual (preferred) or multilingual environments; strong organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in customer service excellence is required; familiarity with retail sales metrics is advantageous.
