Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import Administrative Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will support the customs import process by preparing documentation, coordinating with carriers and clients, and ensuring compliance with CBSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter shipment data and client information accurately into the customs system
- Prepare and verify import documentation, including invoices, B3 entries, and release packages
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and warehouses to gather required information
- Track and follow up on shipments to ensure timely clearance and delivery
- Assist customs brokers with classification, valuation, and admissibility issues
- File and maintain accurate records in accordance with CBSA and company retention policies
- Provide general administrative support to the import team as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or a related administrative role is not necessary but an asset
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and data entry systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of CBSA regulations, customs entry processes, or experience with customs software (e.g., CCS, ACROSS) is not necessary but considered an asset
