Experienced First Cook
South Island Hospitality Ltd is looking for an experienced First Cook to join our professional kitchen team at Finn's restaurant. We are looking for a reliable cook who takes pride in quality, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and presentation standards
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and timing
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Keep workstations clean and organized
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Monitor ingredients and notify management of shortages
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Food Safe certification an asset
