Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, including receiving, storing, and shipping products. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation such as forklifts and reach trucks. Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damages
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking orders accurately using order pickers and warehouse management systems
- Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems
- Organize storage areas to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Follow safety protocols during all warehouse operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and weights during packing and shipping processes
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving roles preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes, order picking, packing, and load & unload procedures necessary
- Warehouse experience involving e-commerce fulfillment is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
This role requires physical stamina for lifting, standing, and moving throughout the warehouse. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
