Role and Responsibilities
A Quality Technician under the direction of Quality Assurance Manager ensures safety and quality of company products.
· Responsible for monitoring Critical Control Point (metal detector).
· Responsible for collecting product samples, performing in-process analysis, testing final product and creating Certificates of Analysis.
· Responsible for inspecting incoming trailers and railcars
· Responsible for inspecting outgoing transport, sealing and weighing out trailers
· Participates in the company sampling program based on the Canadian Grain Commission Sampling Program
· Assists in customer complaint investigations and communications
· Ensures Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) are followed during production.
· Conducts environmental swabbing, collects samples for microbiological and chemical
testing.
· Performs other duties as required

· Is familiar with basic word processing software and range of Microsoft Suite programs.

· Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

· Communicates clearly and effectively.
Education and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field.
· Previous work experience in quality control or quality assurance.
Working Conditions
· Shift rotation, possible overtime.
· Light physical activity is required on a daily basis.
· Dusty environment, Hot/Cold temperatures

Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
