The Best Western Chateau Granville is a 118-room hotel located at 1100 Granville Street in the heart of downtown Vancouver. We offer a personalized alternative to the larger chain hotels, with a focus on consistent service and direct relationships with our guests and corporate partners.
The Role
As a key member of the hotel leadership team, the Director of Sales has accountability for revenue generation and the marketing efforts of the property. This is a hands-on, proactive role suited to someone who builds real relationships and drives measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an annual sales plan targeting corporate transient, group, and banquet segments
- Proactively solicit new business through sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and industry events including out of town travel when necessary.
- Attending Best Western events when appropriate.
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and travel trade partners
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities; negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients
- Represent the hotel at Destination Vancouver and relevant industry events
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or director-level role
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience with PMS/CRM systems; familiarity with Best Western or branded hotel systems an asset
- Strong knowledge of the Vancouver corporate and group market
- Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills; self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
