Company Overview:
A leading manufacturer specializing in the custom production of high-quality industrial fans, is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our team. We serve a diverse range of industries and are committed to innovation and precision engineering.
Responsibilities – Drafting and Design:
- Utilize CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, etc.) to create detailed drawings and specifications for industrial fans and related components.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine design concepts based on project requirements and technical specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards and company guidelines in all drafted designs.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to designs.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and sales to support project timelines and customer requirements.
- Provide technical support and assistance to internal stakeholders regarding design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical experience as a Draftsman or similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD software) and familiarity with drafting standards and practices.
- Knowledge of materials and components used in industrial fan manufacturing is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal & written) with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Post-secondary education in a related field from a recognized institution; Canadian education is an asset.
- Experience in Canadian manufacturing practices is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday with occasional overtime as required.
