Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and transactions
- Handle cashiering duties with accuracy in cash handling and processing payments
- Deliver exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities
- Mary Brown's experience is an asset
