We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and reliable Clinical Assistant to join our busy family medicine clinic in Orleans, Ottawa. This is a full-time position, and bilingualism (English and French) is mandatory.
Responsibilities
* Room patients and prepare them for their appointments
* Record vital signs and update patient information in the EMR
* Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
* Prepare and clean examination rooms
* Manage referrals, requisitions, and medical documentation
* Perform point-of-care testing and specimen handling as required
* Maintain infection prevention and clinic safety standards
* Support front desk operations when needed
* Work collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow
Qualifications
* Bilingual in English and French (required)
* Previous experience as a Clinical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, or similar healthcare role
* Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Oscar EMR experience is an asset)
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
