Position Title: Security Guard - English & French - Patient Watch
Location: Hawkesbury, Ontario
Employment Type: Casual
Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour
Vacancies: 8 positions
Shift Schedule: Various shifts available - Days, Afternoons & Nights
Successful candidates must speak English & French and be willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check.
The Security Guard - English & French - Patient Watch is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors within a healthcare facility. This role involves continuous monitoring of assigned patients to ensure their safety, prevent harm, and provide support in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Candidates must sign an attestation confirming vaccination status for the following:

Tuberculosis (Mantoux test)

Measles (proof of vaccination or serology)

Mumps (proof of vaccination or serology)

Rubella (proof of vaccination or serology)

Varicella/Chickenpox (proof of vaccination or serology)

COVID-19 vaccination (minimum of one dose required)
Recommended (not mandatory):

Hepatitis B

Influenza (Flu) vaccination

Provide continuous observation of assigned patient(s) as directed by hospital staff

Ensure patient safety by preventing self-harm, elopement, or disruptive behavior

Maintain a calm, professional, and attentive presence at all times
-
Accurately document observations and incidents in a timely manner
-
Communicate effectively with nursing staff and supervisors regarding any changes in patient condition or behavior

Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations
-
Adhere to all hospital protocols, confidentiality standards, and security procedures

Support de-escalation efforts using approved techniques

Valid Security Guard License (Ontario)

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Successful candidates must speak English & French.

Access to a personal vehicle

Previous healthcare or patient watch experience is considered an asset
