We are looking for a technically skilled Color Matcher to support our wood‑coatings production team. This role requires precision, consistency, and strong problem‑solving abilities. You will be responsible for mixing, adjusting, and reproducing colors to exact specifications while ensuring batch‑to‑batch consistency and supporting internal and external customer needs.
Key Responsibilities

Mix, adjust, and reproduce colors to exact specifications for wood‑coating products

Ensure color consistency across batches using visual and instrumental evaluation

Operate color‑matching equipment, mixing tools, scales, and related paint equipment

Document formulas, adjustments, batch data, and production notes accurately

Troubleshoot color discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently

Maintain customer‑service consistency by supporting internal teams with accurate and timely solutions

Keep the area safe, clean, organized, and properly stocked

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when working with paints, pigments, solvents, and chemicals

Support continuous improvement initiatives in color processes and production workflows

Collaborate with production, technical, and customer service teams to resolve color‑related challenges
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of wood coatings industry

Proven ability to match, adjust, and reproduce colors accurately

Excellent color vision with the ability to distinguish subtle shade differences

Solid understanding of color theory and its practical application in wood coatings

Strong math and measurement skills for precise formula adjustments

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Ability to stand for extended periods

Comfortable working around paints, pigments, and chemicals with appropriate PPE

Highly organized with strong attention to detail
