We are seeking a skilled and experienced Off Track Betting Cashier to join our team and ensuring that our guests have a positive experience. The candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Priority will be given to candidates with previous experience in horse racing and off track betting.
Responsibilities:
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to organize and communicate thoughts.
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with limited supervision.
- Maintains and balance float.
- Processing horse racing bets on specialized betting terminals.
- Provides basic technical support for betting machines, machine malfunction diagnosis which may include reporting any machine malfunction to service technician.
- Troubleshooting: reporting any suspicious activity to Supervisor or Security
- Preparation and maintenance of decoders and televisions.
- Identifies and reports counterfeit bills to Supervisor or Security.
- Follows all rules outlined by Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload.
- Sharp mathematical skills to add and multiply numbers quickly. numerical combinations.

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Related Off-Track Betting (OTB) experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
