Role Overview
We are seeking a Video Editor / Video Specialist to join our creative team and help bring client stories, campaigns, and brands to life through high-quality video content.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly creative, organized, and confident editing a wide range of video content for social media, websites, ads, and client campaigns. Our primary need is a strong video editor, but experience shooting video and/or photography is considered a valuable asset.
You’ll work closely with our production team and account managers to edit engaging video content, support content production, and help deliver polished creative work across multiple industries.
Schedule: Full-time - 40 hours, Monday through Friday (8-hour shifts)
Compensation: $23–$27/hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Edit video content for social media, websites, paid advertising, campaigns, and client projects.
- Create engaging short-form and long-form video content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
- Review footage, select the strongest clips, and assemble polished edits that align with client goals and brand standards.
- Add music, graphics, captions, transitions, colour correction, and basic audio adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with account managers, project managers, and creative team members to understand project goals, timelines, and client feedback.
- Organize video files, footage, project assets, and exports in a clear and efficient way.
- Make revisions based on internal and client feedback while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Assist with video shoots, photo shoots, or content capture when needed.
- Help develop creative ideas for video concepts, social content, and campaign deliverables.
- Stay up to date with social media video trends, editing styles, and platform best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Strong video editing skills with a creative eye and attention to detail.
- Experience editing content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Understanding of pacing, storytelling, music selection, captions, formatting, and platform-specific content styles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and revisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to keep project files and assets clean and easy to navigate.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a creative team.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take creative direction.
- Experience shooting video and/or photography is considered an asset.
- Experience with motion graphics, After Effects, colour grading, audio cleanup, or basic graphic design is considered an asset.
- Previous agency, marketing, content creation, or production experience is considered an asset.
