Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Tim Hortons Multi Unit Manager is responsible and accountable for the execution and delivery of all operational performance objectives resulting in guest satisfaction overseeing multiple locations and supporting each Restaurant Manager at each location.
Operational Management

Reviews restaurant orders and pars daily for production and ordering

Performs daily walk-thrus at each location to ensure proper building maintenance, cleanliness and security, as well as consistent execution of excellence in operational standards all day parts

Accountable for production of Always Fresh standards and waste levels

Initiates performance counseling and takes disciplinary actions for non-compliance in matters related to operational standards
Financial Management

Using restaurant specific information, plans and works to budgets, maximizes profits and achieves sales and transaction targets, controls Food/Paper/Labour costs in the restaurant

Conducts a review of food, paper, labour costs after each P and L period in each location
People Management

Accountable for recruiting new team members, performance management, including training and developing new and existing team members, and motivating and encouraging team to achieve targets

Performs interviews, reference checks and all other duties to hire the best candidates and maintain adequate staffing levels

Supports staff retention initiatives and works with Restaurant Management to provide ongoing team development and succession planning

Sets goals and objectives for each restaurant in conjunction with each Restaurant Management team

Has excellent communication skills; ensures ongoing day-to-day communication with all management and supervisory staff

Responsible for restaurant compliance with all applicable legislation

Ensures high standards of guest experience are maintained – handles any critical incidents, insurance issues, guest complaints that are more severe in nature and beyond the scope of the Restaurant Manager’s authority

Implements, and instills in their teams, company policies, procedures, ethics

Reviews restaurant metrics weekly and provides direction on performance and targets for growth

Establishes proper security procedures and ensures the reduction of team member theft and the safety of team members and guests
