Yaletown House is a non profit care facility for seniors with complex care needs and is located in Vancouver, BC. We provide quality health care and services to 127 senior residents in a safe, supportive and home like environment.
Under the direction of the Manager, Food Services, performs a variety of food service duties such as setting tables, portioning and serving meals, washing and peeling vegetables and fruit, preparing items such as tea, coffee, and toast, and washing dishes and utensils, clears and cleans dining tables, damp mopping floors, washing dishes, and cleaning surfaces in accordance with established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 10, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Food Safe Certificate
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
DAYS/HOURS OF WORK
Days and Afternoons 7.5, 7, 5.5, 4 hour shifts:
6.30am-2.30pm
11am-7pm
1-7.30pm
3.30-7.30pm
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $25.82 per hour
