Mechanic – Trailer Repair Shop (Blackfalds, AB)
We’re seeking a 2nd 3rd or 4th year Automotive or Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Blackfalds, AB. If you have experience with trailer and vehicle suspension repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance. Journeyman Mechanics welcome to apply.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of trailers, light/medium-duty trucks, and equipment.
- Perform trailer alignments and light/medium-duty truck alignments.
- Complete commercial vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs.
- Conduct brake work, bearing re-packs, and electrical wiring repairs.
- Specialize in trailer and vehicle suspension repairs and custom upgrades (leaf repairs, custom suspensions, etc.).
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client concerns are addressed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What You Bring
- Strong knowledge of suspension systems, brakes, bearings, and electrical systems.
- Experience working on trailers, trucks, and heavy-duty machinery.
- Ability to complete Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP).
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting/manual labor.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$50.00 per hour
