Empowered Academy is seeking a Senior therapist who is working towards Behaviour Analyst or a Master's student working towards certification to provide ABA services.
As a Senior Instructor Therapist at Empowered Academy, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive behavioral interventions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. You will lead the implementation of behavior management plans, supervise behavior technicians, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to optimize client outcomes. This position requires advanced knowledge of ABA principles, strong leadership skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs.
Responsibilities:
Direct Client Services
- Deliver ABA therapy sessions to clients with fidelity to individualized treatment plans.
- Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs, tracking progress and adapting strategies as needed.
- Collect and record accurate data during sessions to measure outcomes and adjust interventions effectively.
Program Development and Implementation
- Collaborate with the BCBA to develop, review, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment and client progress.
- Assist in creating materials and visual aids to enhance client engagement and learning.
Team Leadership and Training
- Supervise and mentor Behavior Therapists, providing hands-on support, modeling techniques, and offering constructive feedback.
- Assist in training new staff members on clinical practices, data collection, and behavior intervention techniques.
- Facilitate team meetings to discuss client progress, address challenges, and align on treatment goals.
Data and Documentation
- Maintain organized, thorough session notes, progress summaries, and data logs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist the BCBA in analyzing data to monitor client progress and make data-driven program adjustments.
- Complete progress reports and documentation to share with families and stakeholders, contributing to treatment review and updates.
Family and Caregiver Communication
- Provide caregivers with regular updates on client progress, upcoming goals, and strategies for continued support.
- Conduct training sessions or educational meetings with families to enhance generalization of skills and behavior management outside the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, special education, or a related field.
- Experience providing ABA therapy services to individuals with ASD and/or other developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), developing behavior Support Plansand implementing evidence-based ABA interventions.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor behavior technicians.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines in behavior analysis practice.
- Familiarity with electronic data collection systems and technology used in ABA therapy practice.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate client needs.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
