Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician/Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various landscaping and maintenance projects, ensuring the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and outdoor work, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and weed control
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and grading
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and construction projects
- Assist with construction activities such as retaining walls, pathways, and other landscape features
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure safety and optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all work activities
- Support team members in completing projects efficiently and to client specifications
Skills
- Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and construction processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience in landscaping or related construction fields is a plus
Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
