Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking asphalt operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing commercial and residential properties. This role involves performing various tasks related to asphalt paving projects, including heavy equipment operation, asphalt raking, grading etc. Operators will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Compensation will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Operation of paving equipment paver, roller, tamper and/or skid steers for the prupose of grading
- Paving parking lots, driveways, walkways, and other asphalt surfaces.
- Build/repair features such as retaining walls, storm water catch basins, etc.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Requirements
- Previous experience in asphalt, concrete, or landscaping is mandatory.
- Positive 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
- Valid G licence (DZ/AZ considered a major asset)

Pay: $24.96-$31.20 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
