Job Overview:
We are a locally owned, patient-focused independent community pharmacy, dedicated to providing personalized, accessible, and compassionate care. As a cornerstone of our community, we pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with patients and delivering clinical services that go beyond traditional dispensing. We are seeking a committed Clinical Pharmacist who values autonomy, meaningful patient interactions, and the opportunity to shape the direction of our clinical services. Our store hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. The Pharmacy is located in a lively medical building with approximately 10 Family Physicians and several other specialists and allied health professionals that maintain a strong collaborative relationship with our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately and efficiently dispense medications in accordance with The Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and all applicable regulations
*Perform clinical and technical checks on compliance packages prepared weekly
* Provide patient-centered clinical services, including MedsCheck reviews, chronic disease management, adherence counseling, and minor ailment assessments
* Administer vaccinations and injections as permitted in Ontario
* Offer smoking cessation counseling, including support under the Ontario Quit Program
* Build strong patient relationships through individualized counseling and proactive follow-up
* Work collaboratively with local prescribers and healthcare teams to optimize care plans
* Maintain thorough documentation and uphold OCP standards of practice
* Support, mentor, and collaborate with pharmacy students/assistants/technicians
* Contribute to the growth of clinical programs and help shape the future of pharmacy services within an independent setting
Qualifications:
* Fully licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
* BScPhm or PharmD
* Valid Injection and Immunization Certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong clinical knowledge and a genuine passion for patient care
* Excellent communication skills with an approachable, community-oriented demeanor
* Ability to manage workflow efficiently in a smaller, personalized pharmacy environment
* Previous independent or community pharmacy experience is an asset but not required
*Italian speaking is an asset but not required
*Knowledge of Propel Pharmacy Software is an asset but not required
*Ability to travel to patient’s homes for Medication Reviews an asset but not required
