Demand for autism assessment in Alberta far exceeds supply, and CPC Clinics receives assessment enquiries every month that we cannot currently serve at the pace families need. We are hiring an ASD Assessment Specialist to start immediately, lead our neurodevelopmental assessment service. This is an established practice in significant growth, with over two years of operating history, a proven client acquisition engine, and a full referral pathway from assessment into therapy and support services under one roof.

CPC Clinics is a growing Calgary multidisciplinary practice delivering counselling, psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment, rTMS neurostimulation, and structured wellness programs under one roof. Complex clients are supported by a coordinated team rather than a single provider, which matters most in neurodevelopmental care, where assessment is the beginning of a care journey rather than the end of one.
The Role
You will be the lead assessor for autism and ASD related evaluations at CPC Clinics, conducting comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments across the lifespan, from children through adults. You will own the full assessment arc: intake, test selection, administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and feedback. You will work with a clinic that invests in gold standard instruments and handles every administrative task around you, so your hours go into clinical judgment, not logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ASD and neurodevelopmental assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including intake, testing, interpretation, and feedback
- Administer, score, and interpret gold standard diagnostic measures including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised (ADI-R), together with cognitive, adaptive functioning, and behavioural and emotional measures as clinically indicated
- Assess common co-occurring presentations, including ADHD, learning disabilities, and anxiety, within a differential diagnostic framework
- Write clear, comprehensive, strength based reports that translate findings into actionable recommendations for home, school, workplace, and community settings
- Deliver feedback sessions to clients and families in a compassionate, neurodiversity affirming manner
- Collaborate with our counselling team, allied professionals, schools, physicians, and external stakeholders to support implementation and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with College of Alberta Psychologists standards
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, or Developmental) from an accredited institution
- Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
- Minimum three years of direct experience conducting ASD assessments as the responsible assessor
- Training and reliability certification in ADOS-2 and ADI-R, with demonstrated fluency in industry best, evidence based ASD assessment measures
- Strong experience conducting full breadth assessments (neurodevelopmental, cognitive, adaptive, behavioural) across age ranges (children and adults)
- Excellent report writing, with the ability to translate findings into clear recommendations for diverse settings
Assets
- Experience in adult ASD assessment, recognizing under diagnosis in later life
- Familiarity with school and workplace accommodation processes
- Experience offering therapeutic follow up alongside assessment
- Operational familiarity with private practice assessment workflow
