We are a fast-growing, innovative consumer packaged goods (CPG) company and certified manufacturing bakery dedicated to elevating everyday food.
As a bakery production coordinator you will assist in overseeing day-to-day operations at our commercial manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for scaling production schedules, managing inventory, assisting in maintaining strict QA/QC standards, and leading a dedicated team of production staff. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and has a proven track record in food manufacturing or commercial baking.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the teams by training and developing the production category through adherence to recipes and standard operating procedures including, but not limited to, cakes, cookies, pastries, granola, etc.
- Assign daily production to team members and ensure timely completion by staff. Optimize workflows to maximize throughput while minimizing waste.
- Assist and lead in production to meet daily production targets
- Establish methods to meet order production schedules, maintain daily production target and track inventory (packaging, ingredients, finished products, etc)
- Produce the correct quantity of assigned products based on orders received by the deadline
- Coordinate staff to their baking job duties, sanitation and safety procedures under the supervision of the on site QA/ QS manager
- Responsible for cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area. Food Safety Certification: Deep understanding of HACCP, SQF, or GMP guidelines. Current food handler or safety certifications are highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- Experience in large scale bakery production is highly preferred
- Must have reliable transportation (driver's license preferred not required)
- Time management skills - this position is very time sensitive, and you must be managing a team of bakers to meet strict production deadline, you must be on time daily.
- Able to work independently, is a good communicator
- Accountable, positive energy, and is able to take initiative
- Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification required) required
- Good communication skills, able to communicate in English
- Good organization, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to taste product for quality assurance i.e buttercream(s), cake(s) and cupcake(s)batter, and other recipes as assigned.
