Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, with experience using dental software Cleardent. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care across general dentistry, orthodontics, and periodontist. The Certified Dental Assistant will support the dental team by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. A background in medical terminology, and experience as a dental receptionist are valuable assets for this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including orthodontics and periodontist treatments
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient records using dental software Cleardent
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed and materials used
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
- Support the team with administrative tasks related to scheduling and billing as required
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
- Experience working with Cleardent, or similar dental management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental practice
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including radiography and sterilization protocol.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not required
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
