Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all transportation regulations.
Duties
- Operate trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist in minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Familiarity with automotive repair is a plus, providing an advantage in maintaining vehicle performance.
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is desirable for efficient loading and unloading processes.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations is essential for ensuring compliance during transport.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while on the road.
