Job Overview
We are an established architectural drafting and design firm in Windermere, Edmonton, seeking a Senior Architectural Draftsperson / Architectural Technician to join our team. This role is focused on residential design and construction drawing production in a fast-paced, professional environment.
This is an in-office position only. Reliable transportation and daily commute to Windermere is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and revise architectural drawings and permit packages
- Produce permit-ready drawings for homes and residential developments
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and clients
- Ensure drawings meet Alberta building codes and municipal requirements
- Support residential design development and project documentation
- Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in the Canadian residential construction industry
- Strong experience producing residential construction drawings
- Solid understanding of floor plans, elevations, sections, and space planning
- Knowledge of Alberta/Canadian building codes and construction documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Nice to have:
- Experience with SketchUp
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
