Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packager to join our manufacturing team. This role involves preparing meat products for shipment by accurately packaging items, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments and possess mechanical aptitude to handle various tools and equipment efficiently.
Duties
- Operate packaging machinery and hand tools to assemble and package meat products according to specifications
- Inspect finished goods for quality assurance, ensuring packaging meets safety and quality standards
- Use forklifts or other warehouse equipment to move raw materials or finished products as needed
- Assist with assembly processes when required, supporting production flow
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including organizing packaging supplies and tools
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of mechanical equipment and materials
- Document packaging activities and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors
Experience
- Prior experience in a meat processing facility, warehouse.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided
- Mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards
- Experience with packaging, assembly, or related tasks in a manufacturing setting is desirable
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
