We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support food presentation and ensure dishes are visually appealing before serving
- Help with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Serve meals efficiently to customers, ensuring timely delivery and quality service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations throughout shifts
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene practices diligently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
- Strong understanding of the food industry and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if required
- Passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new skills in meal preparation and food safety
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
