Role Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the Product Manager (PM) defines, plans, and leads the short-term (0–6 months) category Go-To-Market plan in partnership with Product Planning, Sales, Marketing, and GTM Operations. The PM manages the 4 P’s, analyzes sales, sell-through, margin, market trends, and competitive activity, and turns insights into clear recommendations on pricing, promotions, and GTM strategies to achieve category KPIs.
This individual communicates clearly, builds strong cross-functional relationships, and brings structure, ownership, and sound judgment to ambiguous business challenges. They are resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable defending recommendations while adapting as priorities change.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy & Go-To-Market Execution

Plan, create, and measure category Go-To-Market deliverables while managing cross-functional implementation with GTM teams.

Drive product launches by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure timely launch and completion of required deliverables.

Plan and communicate pricing, promotional plans, product transition plans, and clearance strategies.

Support sales activities aligned with overall business plan strategies by creating comprehensive business cases and professional product proposals with a clear understanding of the desired outcome.

Business Analysis, Forecasting & Performance Management

Monitor, analyze and communicate market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and potential impacts on the business strategies.

Regular analysis and reporting on sales and profit with the objective to provide recommendations to achieve category KPIs.

Understand market conditions and paths to market, evaluate and recommend the most appropriate product placement, channel and promotional plans to maximize category performance.

Review HW and ACC forecasts from a channel perspective, challenge assumptions when needed, and provide insights to support forecast inputs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Decision-Making

Provide allocation direction aligned with partner strategies and make strategic inventory decisions in partnership with Operations, Sales, and Product Planning teams.

Collaborate with Marketing by providing direction for product-related deliverables, including spec sheets, cartons, mylars, and related materials.

Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding while working with Marketing to ensure proper product positioning.

Product Expertise, Learning & Continuous Improvement

Serve as the technical product expert for the category and provide product and application-based sales training on key selling features, advantages, and benefits.

Practice a test-and-learn mindset supported by KPIs, measures of success, and retrospectives.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of Product / Category Management or Product Marketing Management experience.

Experience with project management, or CI is an asset.
-
Experience in the consumer goods industry preferred.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Strong command of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
