Overview
We are seeking friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Front Staff to join our fast-paced Indian restaurant team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including peak hours; a positive attitude and team spirit are essential
Pay: $17.20-$17.60 per hour
