Hipster Lasers is one of Canada's fastest-growing laser engraving companies. We design and manufacture premium engraved products inspired by movies, gaming, anime, horror, and pop culture. Our products are sold online and at over 40 major conventions and events across North America, including FAN EXPO, Comic Cons, and the Canadian National Exhibition.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building things, working with their hands, solving problems, and taking pride in producing exceptional work.
This isn't a repetitive factory job. Every day brings new products, new designs, and new challenges.
What You'll Do
- Operate multiple professional CO₂ laser engraving machines
- Set up jobs and monitor production for quality and efficiency
- Sand, finish, spray, and package premium wood products
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Help improve production processes and workflow
- Assist with inventory management and shop organization
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders
- Work alongside our design team to bring new products to life
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace

Experience with any of the following is a huge asset:
- Laser engraving (Epilog, xTool, Glowforge, etc.)
- Woodworking
- Spray finishing
- Graphic design
- CorelDRAW
- Adobe Illustrator
- CNC equipment
- Shopify or e-commerce fulfillment
- Convention or event experience

- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning equipment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
