We are looking for an energetic, client-focused Junior Automotive Service Advisor to join our team and help us keep our service drive running smoothly. As a Junior Service Advisor, you will learn every angle of the automotive repair business. You will be the primary bridge between our local clients and our team of licensed technicians. This entry-level role is perfect for a people-person who wants to develop technical automotive knowledge, master service coordination, and grow into a career with a stable, local business.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relations: Greet regular and new clients by name, handle phone calls, and schedule daily service appointments.
- Problem Diagnosis: Listen carefully to client concerns, take detailed notes, and translate vehicle issues into clear instructions for our mechanics.
- Shop Management: Use our shop software to build accurate repair estimates, source parts, and track shop workflow.
- Clear Communication: Review inspection reports with clients and explain recommended repairs or maintenance in simple, honest terms.
- Workflow Management: Track the status of multiple vehicles in the shop to ensure jobs are completed safely and on time.
- Front Desk Operations: Review completed invoices with clients, process payments, and ensure a spotless, welcoming front counter area.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in the automotive industry (e.g., service counter, parts department, or tire shop).
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with a warm, approachable personality.
- Adaptability: A fast learner who thrives in a bustling, multi-tasking environment.
- Software (Asset): Previous experience with Protractor shop management software is preferred, but we are fully willing to train a tech-savvy individual.
