SHIPPER/RECEIVER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Founded in 1991, CPI Automation Ltd. is both a parts distributor, offering a comprehensive line of Fluid Power & Automation components, as well as a full service integrator capable of providing its customers with turn-key Fluid Power and Electrical Control Solutions.
CPI Automation operates two plants to support its activities in the Canadian marketplace, located in Mississauga and Kitchener, Ontario. Manufacturing and service activities are carried on at the Mississauga plant with CAD based design supporting a fully equipped machining and fabricating facility.
Working as part of our Team, your duties would include a variety of tasks, as outlined below:
Responsibilities
- Inspect, verify and receive incoming goods
- Learn and utilize our inventory control software
- Route and place goods in appropriate storage areas
- Pack goods to be shipped and prepare bills of lading
- Build pallets and crates for international shipments
- Utilize Company vehicle to pick-up deliver goods
- Attend training seminars, where applicable
- Some heavy lifting involved
Qualifications
- Completion of high school
- Valid “G” drivers license, insurable
- Some experience in similar industry / position
- Computer literacy
- Lift Truck experience preferred, not required
- Lift Truck licensing provided, if not already acquired
- Must be fluent in English

- Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) in English
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with employees, customers and truck drivers
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment to meet important customer deadlines
- Ability to pay attention to detail while maintaining high quality standards
- Ability to work in a pro-active manner with minimal supervision
