We are seeking a talented and creative Head Mixologist to help shape and execute a distinctive cocktail and beverage program for our new flagship restaurant.
This role is suited for a refined cocktail professional with strong technical ability, creative vision, polished guest presence, and experience in elevated dining or premium cocktail environments.
Key Responsibilities
The Head Mixologist will lead the creative and technical execution of the cocktail program, ensuring all beverages are thoughtfully developed, consistently prepared, beautifully presented, and aligned with the restaurant’s overall concept.
Cocktail Development and Beverage Program
- Develop signature cocktails, seasonal beverages, zero-proof cocktails, and elevated bar rituals.
- Bring strong knowledge of classic cocktails, modern mixology, spirits, infusions, syrups, bitters, garnishes, glassware, ice, and presentation.
- Create beverages that are refined, balanced, visually polished, and operationally practical.
- Contribute ideas for tableside cocktails, welcome drinks, after-dinner serves, and private dining beverage experiences.
- Ensure the cocktail program feels distinctive, memorable, and aligned with the restaurant’s luxury dining experience.
Recipe Standards and Execution
- Document cocktail recipes, specifications, methods, garnish standards, glassware, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure consistency across cocktail preparation and final presentation.
- Train the bar team on technique, balance, preparation, batching, garnish, and execution.
- Maintain strong mise en place systems for syrups, infusions, garnishes, juices, and prep items.
- Support efficient service flow while preserving quality and creativity.
Team Training and Guest Experience
- Lead beverage training for bartenders, servers, and management.
- Educate the team on cocktail ingredients, flavour profiles, spirit categories, and guest-facing descriptions.
- Provide a polished, knowledgeable, and engaging guest experience at the bar.
- Support VIP, private dining, and special-event beverage service where required.
- Mentor bartenders and support the development of a skilled, professional bar team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of strong cocktail or mixology experience, preferably in upscale restaurants, luxury hotels, premium cocktail bars, or chef-driven dining environments.
- Proven experience developing cocktails, creating recipes, and training bar teams.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, modern cocktail techniques, premium spirits, infusions, syrups, garnishes, ice, and glassware.
- Strong understanding of flavour balance, presentation, aroma, texture, and guest experience.
- Experience with cocktail costing, batching, prep systems, and recipe documentation is an asset.
- Previous lead bartender, senior bartender, mixologist, or head mixologist experience is preferred.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- Strong communication, creativity, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required.
- Knowledge of South Asian flavours, spices, ingredients, or fine dining concepts is an asset but not required.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
