Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality medical care for our animal patients and support our veterinary staff in delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians
- Take and develop x-rays
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic
- Client Care responsibilities
Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with AbVMA required
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital preferred
- Proficient in laboratory procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
