POSITION OVERVIEW
In the position of Refrigerated Trailer Service Attendant you will make a difference every single day as you ensure refrigerated trailers are operating within required temperature parameters and have adequate fuel to support continuous operation. This role monitors multiple yard locations, records reefer operating information, verifies trailer security, scans and files temperature documentation, and reports any issues that may impact product integrity, food safety, or operational efficiency.

$24.34 per hour
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

· The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Experience in warehousing, transportation, logistics, or refrigerated operations is an asset.
· Basic computer skills, including scanning and electronic record management.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Valid driver’s license.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform scheduled inspections of refrigerated trailers across multiple yard locations.
· Verify and record reefer set-point temperatures and current operating temperatures.
· Check and record fuel levels for all refrigerated trailers.
· Fuel reefer units that fall below company-established fuel thresholds.
· Verify and record trailer seal numbers.
· Monitor reefer units for alarms, faults, abnormal fuel usage, leaks, or operating issues.
· Report temperature discrepancies, equipment failures, missing seals, damaged seals, safety hazards, or product integrity concerns immediately.
· Scan and electronically file shipping and transportation documentation.
· Maintain accurate reefer inspection logs, temperature records, fuel logs, and seal verification records.
· Communicate operational updates to Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, and Leadership teams as required.
· Develop and maintain successful working relationships with colleagues throughout the organization.
· Live by the organization’s mission, vision and values.
· All other duties as assigned by the Manager.
