Nutemp Mechanical Systems Ltd. is a multi-trade mechanical contractor that focuses on the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets. With over 40 years of experience, Nutemp has evolved into a vertically integrated, industry-leading mechanical organization in southern Ontario.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and dependable 4th–5th Year Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to further develop your skills while working alongside experienced licensed plumbers on a variety of industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience and continue progressing toward their Certificate of Qualification.
YOUR Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to support plumbing installations and modifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues under the guidance of licensed plumbers.
- Prepare and assemble materials, tools, and equipment required for daily tasks.
- Support the installation of commercial and industrial plumbing systems on construction and renovation projects.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
YOUR Qualifications
- 4th or 5th Year Plumbing Apprentice
- Previous experience working in industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) environments is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the trade, including lifting, standing, bending, and working in varying site conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to learning and professional development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
