Job Description: AutoCAD Designer / Team Lead – Custom Cabinetry
Position Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Experience Designer & Team Lead to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in custom cabinetry and architectural millwork, advanced proficiency in SketchUp and other advanced design tools, and the ability to leverage AI technologies, including ChatGPT, to enhance design efficiency, documentation, collaboration, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop, production, and installation drawings as an experienced designer specializing in high-end custom cabinetry and millwork.
- Review architectural drawings and customer specifications.
- Prepare cut lists and material specifications for production.
- Coordinate with project managers, production staff, installers, and clients.
- Revise drawings based on client feedback and field measurements.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project requirements.
- Lead and mentor team members by providing guidance, technical support, and direction.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee projects from design through manufacturing and installation, ensuring all phases are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2020, Adobe, Sketchup (required).
- Experience in custom cabinetry, millwork, or woodworking.
- Previous Team Lead, Project Lead, or Supervisory experience.
- Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in multiple industry-standard software applications for custom cabinetry design, drafting, 3D modeling, rendering, and manufacturing workflows is highly preferred.
- Sales experience is considered a strong asset.
- Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
