Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Clerk and Food Preparation Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food items, operating POS systems, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety. Duties
- Prepare sandwiches and other food items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS equipment
- Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, assembling, and packaging products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items
- Ensure proper food safety practices are followed during all stages of food handling
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environment preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends and holidays if needed

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
