Job Responsibilities:
-
Manage and maintain CVOR files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and tracking incidents and violations.

Use Geotab to monitor speeding reports and other compliance concerns.

Communicate violations to the appropriate parties and ensure timely resolution in accordance with company policies.

Report habitual offenders to the HR & Safety Manager and Equipment & Yard Manager.
-
Maintain GPS systems for company vehicles and equipment.
-
Maintain drivers’ electronic logs and inspection records.
-
Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance, annual safety inspections, and repairs for company vehicles and equipment.

Identify and prioritize urgent repairs.
-
Maintain a database to track service requirements and due dates.
-
Coordinate the transportation of company vehicles and equipment to and from service facilities.
-
Order and pick up parts or arrange for delivery, following up on delays or other issues as required.

Issue purchase orders for parts and external services, and match purchase orders with invoices and work orders.

Track parts and materials inventory.

Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems.
-
Track equipment service hours.
-
Ensure monthly hoist inspections are completed and reviewed by the Equipment & Yard Manager.

Schedule required hoist repairs and report findings to the Equipment & Yard Manager and HR & Safety Manager.
Schedule:
-
Monday to Thursday: 6:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Friday: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to independently manage changing priorities, workloads and deadlines.

Experience with maintenance-shop procedures, trucks or heavy equipment is considered an asset.
-
Knowledge of Ontario’s CVOR system and Highway Traffic Act is considered an asset.
