Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Shop Foreman/woman to oversee daily maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of technicians and operators, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in equipment repair and maintenance processes, and familiarity with systems to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop floor activities, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Lead process improvement projects utilizing lean maintenance principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Oversee assembly operations, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
- Manage inventory levels and supply chain logistics.
- Work with General Management on daily operations as well as hiring new mechanics, doing quarterly reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety protocols, and process procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shop environments with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, MRP, and process management tools.
- Knowledge of lean operational principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality control standards.
- Experience in supply chain management and assembly operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience as a supervisor or foreman in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Pay: $100,000.00-$185,000.00 per year
