Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer experiences, handling transactions accurately, and promoting products through effective upselling. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and technical sales when applicable
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring product availability
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and balance registers at the end of shifts
- Address customer questions via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication skills
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities (English and additional languages) are a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Familiarity with POS systems and merchandising practices is desirable
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
- Ability to perform product demos and assist with technical sales when needed
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation are essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
